November Food For Thought Lunch Series Line Up
The Nantucket Historical Association is pleased to announce the upcoming slate of speakers for the Food For Thought Lecture series:
- Thursday, November 3: Little Gray Island Gam, featuring five contributors to the newly-released Little Gray Island: Life Stories From Nantucket.
- Thursday, November 10: MC Lars and “Literature and Hip-Hop.” Stanford University-educated musical artist MC Lars will discuss how classical literature can be better understood through modern hip-hop musical interpretations.
- Thursday, November 17: Augusto Ramos and Rob Benchley discuss the rebuilding of Great Point Lighthouse, twenty-five years after the island’s northernmost beacon collapsed during a March nor’easter.
- Thursday, November 24: No Food For Thought lecture in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Food For Thought is the NHA’s free weekly brown-bag lunch lecture series. From noon – 1 PM, attendees are invited to listen to notable Nantucketers discuss their unique visions of Nantucket, past, present, and future.
